In this world money, wealth, treasures have value only if they come to the aid of someone in need – only if they are used to provide much desired help and assistance at the time when it is required the most. Otherwise these things are mere materialistic acquisitions and do not have any beneficial value. The great Guru Nanak Devji in his teaching has spoken deeply on this aspect and we must learn to understand and recognize the value of this teaching. Money has only value till the time it is able to come to the aid of someone in need at the time it is most desirable. A morsel of food can give utmost satisfaction to a hungry person but a plateful of food has no value to and person whose stomach is already full. Having satisfied someone in time of his need can give a person the utmost and truest satisfaction he can ever achieve and the feeling of bliss thereafter is inspiring and long lasting.

इस दुनिया में धन, धन, खजाने का मूल्य तभी है जब वे किसी जरूरतमंद की सहायता के लिए आते हैं – केवल तभी जब उनका उपयोग उस समय बहुत वांछित सहायता और सहायता प्रदान करने के लिए किया जाता है जब इसकी सबसे अधिक आवश्यकता होती है। अन्यथा ये चीजें केवल भौतिकवादी अधिग्रहण हैं और इनका कोई लाभकारी मूल्य नहीं है। महान गुरु नानक देवजी ने अपने शिक्षण में इस पहलू पर गहराई से बात की है और हमें इस शिक्षा के मूल्य को समझना और पहचानना सीखना चाहिए। पैसे का तभी तक मूल्य है जब तक वह किसी जरूरतमंद की मदद के लिए उस समय तक आ पाता है जब वह सबसे अधिक वांछनीय होता है। भोजन का एक निवाला भूखे व्यक्ति को अत्यधिक संतुष्टि दे सकता है लेकिन एक प्लेट भर भोजन का कोई मूल्य नहीं है और जिसका पेट पहले से ही भरा हुआ है। किसी को उसकी जरूरत के समय में संतुष्ट करने से वह सबसे अधिक और सच्ची संतुष्टि प्राप्त कर सकता है जो वह कभी भी प्राप्त कर सकता है और उसके बाद आनंद की भावना प्रेरक और लंबे समय तक चलने वाली होती है।
