Good Morning everyone! I know reading my blog has become a habit for you as much as having your morning cuppa coffee. Well I also have developed this thing of writing something for you my dear readers so that I don’t disappoint you early in the morning and that you have something new and fresh to read every morning with your cup of coffee to help you kick-start your day with positive thoughts.
Today I thought we will have a conversation about things which we want to have in life. We all crave for something or the other – be it materialistic possessions, or emotional bonding, we all have cravings and we are not always able to satisfy all our cravings because many things may be out of our reach.
Although we understand that something which we are craving for is out of our reach, still, we do not stop craving. Even though the idea is crystal clear in our heads and understanding, still we refuse to pay heed to voice of logic and still crave. The temptation of having that thing is so strong that we refuse to listen to our inner voice which keeps telling us that you will not get it so stop trying. Despite umpteen warnings and signals, we still go on craving for it.
I believe strongly in destiny and in my world it stands that if I was destined to have it, it would be with me. I may have to exert myself a bit, but it would be with me. But if I am not destined to have it, no matter how hard I try, I will never succeed. So its not that I wouldn’t try, it is just that I would try hard enough and long enough to realize that its not happening and that would be me my closure.
But often, life tempts you with so many things that no matter how much you try to control yourself, you end up desiring it and then the pursuit begins. The journey of reckless pursuit of that thing which you crave is often hard and full of heartache and difficulties, but yet we persist because your heart refuses to listen to our mind and its logic.
Well this is just one side of the story. As I have told you earlier as well, I am an eternal optimist and a person who tries to find positivity in everything. Even in such a situation I try to seek the pros and try to avoid the cons of the situation. When you keep trying hard to acquire something which you crave and despite your sincere efforts, you are not successful, you need to find solace in the fact that sometimes not getting what you want, is a beautiful stroke of luck.
It may be nature’s or destiny’s way of protecting you and ensuring that you do not get trapped or fall in a crevice disguised as a walkway by life. When we crave for things, we get lost in their attraction, we do not even consider that it may be something that may cause us harm than good. Our temptation, our craving erases the power of our mind to analyze the good from the bad and all we can do is fixatedly keep going after it despite knowing that it is beyond our reach.
And so when we are not able to obtain it, I believe that it may be the nature and destiny conspiring positively to save us the trouble which we may have encountered had we obtained the object of our craving because all that glitters is not gold. Similarly, not everything that we desire, may turn out to be good for us. So when we fail to achieve the object of our desire, it may be for our own benefit and we must learn to accept this fact, even though it may be a tough one to accept.
So why cry and brood over things we could not obtain or possess, instead let us rejoice, cherish and celebrate what we do have – that makes life so much simpler and happier I guess.
