Children are born with sweet and pure innocence, not touched by the negatives of the world. As the child grows, he becomes part of the society and as part of the growing up process; he is exposed to the world and its good and bad things. It becomes difficult for the child to retain his innocence because there are too many temptations which try to deviate him from the course of innocence. To fight the challenges of life he needs a companion or a weapon in his armory, which will help him withstand the trials of life and help him emerge a stronger and a better person than he was. The most important weapon that parents can put in the child’s armory is that of Self-Esteem. If a child learns the value of his own dignity and the value of being able to respect himself and his actions, he develops inner courage to stand his ground in life’s turbulence and thus the initial boundary becomes a deep foundation on which he is able to build a strong character and flawless personality which will take him far in his life
