The Art of Seeing The Invisible Leads To Doing The Impossible

Hello guys, waking up to the morning after Christmas feels a bit lazy right? Especially if you have partied hard till late at night. But for children it is a special waking up to the excitement of opening the Christmas presents left behind by Santa. I guess those childhood sentiments have their own charm and attraction. That world of fantasy keeps the spirit of Christmas alive for all.

Well life holds its little secrets and its’ these secrets that make us explore life a bit more each day, to be able to fathom what lies behind. A little suspense always creates inquisitiveness and which in turn helps to generate excitement for what lies beyond what is visible. Yes friends, life does have lot of invisibles – things that are not visible to anyone and everyone. It takes special talent and vision, to see the invisibles of life. This talent and vision has to be curated carefully and nourished and nurtured until you gain the expertise of seeing the invisibles of life.

So what are these invisibles of life I am mentioning here? Well friends, the invisibles I am mentioning here are the fairly ordinary human traits of honesty, equality, passion, empathy, love, compassion and the like. We all possess these traits within us – they are inborn. But the only problem with these traits is that they are intangible – not visible to the naked eye. They can be felt, inferred from a particular situation or a particular behavior.

It is because of this reason, that not many realize these traits that others possess. Sometimes we even don’t realize the presence of these traits in our own selves. But it is human to possess these and these traits come to the fore at particular junctures and situations of life. For some it is a virtual outpouring while for others it is not so pronounced. But because of their intangibility and invisibility, they are often unnoticed by others.

As I said earlier, the knack of recognizing these traits is a carefully cultivated one, and takes time and patience. One must look into one’s own nature and character and learn to understand the depth of emotions one feels given a particular situation. Once the self-realization strikes about why you feel certain emotions of sadness, happiness or otherwise in different situations, you will begin to realize and start labeling your emotions accordingly and they start assuming meaning in your own world. And once you have mastered them, you will be able to notice the same in others as well.

The ability to do the impossible stems from the ability to see the invisible. Once you have gained the knack of appreciation of others traits in various situations, you also begin to understand the true character of the person. We may put on different personas on the outside for the benefit of the world for various reasons, but inside we are what we are. And once what you really are; is recognized by someone, then bringing the good out of such a person is very easy. Not all are bad or wish to be bad or do bad deeds; it is a collection of circumstances that leads us towards these bad and negative actions. But if you have recognized the true person inside someone, it is very easy to appeal to those traits of that person and convert the bad into good or appeal to the good inside to surface and push the bad away. This is a task which is virtually impossible in the ordinary way of life but this special ability to see the invisible part of human nature gives the ability to turn it around and achieve the impossible.

Just imagine a world where we would all have this knack or vision of seeing the invisible, we all would have the ability to do away the bad and the evil and only good would prevail.

I leave you with the words of John Lennon’s immortal song” Imagine” which speaks of similar sentiments as food for thought.

Have a nice day…..

Dr. Rajesh Mankani

Imagine there’s no heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us, only sky

Imagine all the people
Livin’ for today
Ah

Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion, too

Imagine all the people
Livin’ life in peace
You

You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man

Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world
You

You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will live as one
